Fighting style: Mikuru primarily uses twin pistols. When fighting as Miracle Mikuru, she can also use the Mikuru Beam (laser beams, missiles, and miniature black holes fired from her eyes) and Jump (high and far jumps). If she's without both her costume and her pistols, Mikuru is trained in boxing.
Limit Break: Similar to Selphie's Slots, Mikuru's Limit Break is her casting buffs on her allies which do not come out of her spell stock. She has a secondary Limit Break with her pet chocobo, Yuko, in which Yuko can use the Invincible Moon ability.
Headcanon:
- While Mikuru took classes, she alternated between coming to class in uniform, in Miracle gear (that pink thing with a corset in some of her icons, and her own clothes, which run along these lines: No pants, shorts, or heels, pastel colors and pale neutrals (never darker colors or black), really girly, cardigans over strapless tops/dresses (you probably haven't seen her shoulders unless you went on the beach trip or were in her swimming class; she's always covering up bra straps). Now that she's teaching, she basically lives in SeeD uniform.
- She doesn't wear her translator (though she used to wear it to exams). So it sometimes takes her a second before she replies because she's translating in her head. She still has a very slight Japanese (standard Tokyo) accent when speaking English that she's trying to get rid of; it's most obvious in things like R/L which she still sometimes has trouble with. Apart from that, her English is kind of American.
- Mikuru haunts the language section of the library, especially the English dictionaries.
- Her weapon of choice is her Miracle twin pistols, and she has this really bad habit of tucking them into the tie of her apron (if in Miracle gear) or shoving them into a belt or pockets. The safeties are on, but still...
- She still checks up on the chocobo she and Egypt had in home ec, at least twice a week. The chocobo is a girl and is named Yuko; she has been trained in PET 101.
- Mikuru gave herself a kick in the organizational pants when she started apprenticing as GFC leader: She has a pretty diary to write down meetings and homework in and has little notepads for GFC stuff and ideas, her room's pretty tidy (though her clothing's a bit random), she can find everything she needs, and she gets where she's supposed to be on time. Despite this, she wishes she was more organized. She could organize her closet by colors or something!!
Yuko the chocobo is trained in:
- Basic commands: Sit, lie down, stay, fetch, heel
- Advanced commands: Strike (grabs an enemy and seismic tosses them), search (steals an item from the enemy), rush (tackle), recover (opens and uses a Potion), reverse (opens and uses a Phoenix Down)
- Limit Break only: Invincible Moon (casts temporary invincibility on party)
She has some training in drug, explosive, arson, and cadaver sniffing as well as search and rescue, but as she has a poor sense of smell, she relies more on sight for these skills and thus is a bit lousy at them.
